Nearly 70% of the poor people in Uganda live in rural areas and many of them are subsistence farmers. Growth in the agricultural sector is mandatory, that’s why GRONET has found ways to at least reduce the prevalence of poverty and scale up a comprehensive approach to fight hunger and strengthen food security.

Investing in smallholder farmers is more crucial and important than ever. In order to feed this increasing population in the near future, GRONET focuses on addressing the root cause of food insecurity through agricultural development so as to combat hunger, malnutrition and poverty in Uganda by:
